President Prabowo Subianto reshuffled several members of his Red and White Cabinet and other senior government officials during a ceremony at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The reshuffle involved ministerial posts, deputy ministers, heads of government agencies and senior officials, including a change in the leadership of the National Police. The appointments were made under Presidential Decrees No. 104/P/2026 and No. 105/P/2026.
One of the major changes was the appointment of Sugiono, previously foreign minister, as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (PMK), replacing Pratikno. Career diplomat Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, who previously served as Sugiono's deputy at the Foreign Ministry, was appointed as the new foreign minister.
Prabowo also appointed Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition. Bahlil will retain his position as minister of energy and mineral resources.
Another major change took place in the National Police. Prabowo appointed Suyudi Ario Seto as the new National Police chief, replacing Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Listyo was subsequently appointed Presidential Chief of Staff.
Dudung Abdurachman was also appointed Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, replacing Djamari Chaniago, while M. Sarmuji was appointed minister of industry.
The October 1 reshuffle was Prabowo's seventh since taking office in October 2024. The previous reshuffle took place on September 14, 2026, when Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa was replaced as finance minister.
