Bau Nyale Tradition in Lombok, Thousands Catch Sea Worms

TheIndonesia.co - Lombok residents and tourists flocked to the Seger Beach area, Kuta Mandalika Village, Lombok, last Sunday night (20/2/2022). They celebrated the age-old tradition of Bau Nyale or catching the Sea Worms Festival. 

The Sea Worm, commonly called Nyale by the locals, is believed to be the incarnation of a beautiful woman from the Sasak tribe named Putri Mandalika.
