SMARTIES Indonesia 2026 Announces Shortlist, Celebrating Campaigns That Set New Standards in Innovation and Business Impact
Indonesia’s most outstanding marketing campaigns have been revealed in the SMARTIES™ Indonesia 2026 shortlist, following a rigorous judging process that assessed entries against global standards for innovation, creativity and business impact.

The shortlisted campaigns competed across 25 categories spanning four channels: Purpose Driven Marketing, Impact Marketing, Media & Growth, and Creative & Innovation Impact. The breadth of entries reflects the diversity of Indonesia’s marketing landscape, with campaigns combining cultural insight, marketing fundamentals and innovative approaches to drive meaningful customer engagement and business results.

SMARTIES™ is part of the global awards program operated across 13 countries and five regions under the Global X banner, headquartered in New York. While the campaigns were judged locally, the Indonesia Awards applied the same standards used globally, allowing Indonesian work to be benchmarked against leading campaigns from around the world.

The judging process began with an online Qualifying Jury comprising senior professionals from brands, agencies, technology platforms and media publishers. Each campaign was assessed across four key dimensions: Strategy, Execution, Results and Creatives, with criteria weighted according to each category.

Following the qualifying stage, the strongest entries advanced to the Grand Jury, which brought together more than 60 senior marketing leaders from leading brands in Indonesia. The jury included President Directors, C-level executives, Marketing Directors, General Managers, Vice Presidents, Country Directors and business owners.

The final judging took place over three days of in-person deliberations in Jakarta. Each session was chaired by a prominent business leader: Ira Noviarti, Independent Board Commissioner of Telkom Indonesia; Georgios Badaro, President Director of Nestlé Indonesia; and Benjie G. Yap, President Director of Unilever Indonesia.

Each full-day session lasted between six and eight hours, with Jury Chairs leading discussions and voting rounds while ensuring the process remained focused and fair.

The integrity of the judging process was also independently observed by Toluna, the 2026 Knowledge Partner and Jury Observer. Toluna reviewed every submission before the deliberations and attended all three days of judging to verify that entries were assessed according to the stated criteria, without participating in scoring or voting.

“Indonesia occupies a distinctive place in the SMARTIES™ family. The work here is unmistakably local, built on cultural insight you will not find anywhere else, yet it is measured against the same global criteria,” said Rohit Dadwal, CEO MMA Global APAC and Global Head of SMARTIES™ WW.

Shanti Tolani, Country Head and Board of Director, Marketing + Media Alliance (MMA) Indonesia, said the quality and diversity of this year’s entries demonstrate the continued growth of Indonesia’s marketing ecosystem.

“As technology continues to accelerate innovation, we are seeing a compelling balance of creativity, data and ideas shaped by Indonesia’s unique and diverse landscape,” she said.

The SMARTIES™ Indonesia 2026 winners will be announced at SMARTIES™ Indonesia – Celebration of Talent on November 5, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan.
