TheIndonesia.co - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr Airlangga Hartarto attended and inaugurated the event "Friday Mubarak" at Hypermart Puri Indah, West Jakarta on Friday (February 28th). A month programme arranged by Aprindo (Asosiasi Pengusaha Ritel Indonesia) with the aims: supporting the economy growth by modern retails sector, to increase public's purchasing especially basic needs products, and to keep the prices stability during Ramadan 2025.
Mr Hartarto appreciates Aprindo's step about creating Friday Mubarak, "This programme is indeed required by the Government, where Ramadan became one of the trigger for economic growth in first quarter."
He then added, after the inaguration of Friday Mubarak by Aprindo, there will be some programmes following to boost national's economy.
"We will have BINA (Belanja di Indonesia Aja) Lebaran and Pasar Kreatif Ramadan arranged by Jakarta's provincional government, so does Bazaar Ramadan and Ramadan Sale by e-commerce operators. Hopefully all of those can boost the economic and maintain consumers confidence," stated Mr Hartarto, according to Suara.com.
For Friday Mubarak itself, target sale is on IDR77 trillion and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs explained the importance as a booster for national economics with economic national growth as per January on 5,05% and inflation rate on 0,56% or under 1%.
"So we have the gap with average inflation on 2,5% plus and minus, hopefully we can be realized for a better economic growth in the national," stated Mr Hartarto.
And Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs also announced several Eid Homecoming programmes and policies, such as discounted airfares tickets about 3%, 20% discounted toll road tariff, mudik gratis or homecoming free transportation programme by State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), Ministry of Transportation with more than 300 unit buses available, free sea transportation tickets, and market operations by NFA or National Food Agency (Bapanas, Badan Pangan Nasional) to protect the stability prices of basic needs products.
