Gamelan Gets Listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage

TheIndonesia.co - UNESCO has added Gamelan as its "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" list. 

The decision was taken during the 16th UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Paris, France, on December 15, 2021. 

The committee examines requests submitted by states for the inscription of intangible heritage on the lists and proposals for programmes and projects.
