Adidas Apologizes over Malaysian Wayang Kulit Claim

TheIndonesia.co - Recently, Indonesian netizens enlivened the Adidas Singapore Instagram account @adidassg with critical comments over cultural appropriation.

The sportswear giant said Wayang Kulit (flat leather shadow puppets) is a Malaysian tradition but failed to mention its true origin.

Following the uproar, Adidas Singapore also posted a public apology via Instagram Stories.
