According to Mayor Fadly Amran, the 2025 Gastronomy Festival, themed “Taste of Padang”, will reinforce the city's identity as a center of culinary heritage and regional collaboration. Beyond showcasing the local cuisine, the festival aims to foster unity and international relationships, inviting 100 guests from Southeast Asia and 200 cadets from various countries via the tall ship KRI Bima Suci.
